My name is Kristyna Klaban Gregorova, I am an illustrator and visual designer based in woods in the Czech Republic (Central Europe). 

I garden in my wild greenhouse and take care of the cutest hens and the funniest ducks. I’m not kidding, look at my instagram 🙂

I am member of Illustrator´s Club, which unites top Czech illustrators focusing primarily on books for children and young adults.

 

I have a passion for combining traditional analog techniques with digital. I take inspiration from experimenting, exploring accidents that occur when mixing different materials and textured backgrounds. I really love gouache painting, but lately I like to discover the possibilities of digital painting.

My husband Josef Klaban and I founded a brand with fashion and home accessories JAATY. At the e-shop you find products with my illustration (available for Slovakia, Germany and the Czech Republic).

My main focus is educational books for children. I like to illustrate the packaging of products in the uniform visual style. I am open to other new projects and collaborations.

My favorite subjects are animals, plants and nature in general.  I’m interested in exploring social and environmental issues, gardening, psychology, art, culture and literature.

I studied illustration and graphic design at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in Pilsen. I was on an Erasmus + internship abroad at the Academy of Arts in Krakow (Poland). 

Studying was a great experience where I had the time and space to try many variants of illustration. I won a lot of art competitions. Really fun times.

I am an avid reader, so education never ends.
